These artworks represent her famous suspended landscapes, artworks that create an indefinite and timeless place that become tangible thanks to the colors’ saturation as white, black and all their nuances. These artworks become even more intense to the gaze of the viewer thanks to a skilful exhibition sequence.
Marco Stoppa writes about Manuela’s artworks: “Faced with the primitive unknown proposed by Manuela Sedmach the observers themselves are forced to play for time before making a judgment, to dilate the time of the reply before the arrival of the anxiety of discovering what there is beyond that dense atmosphere of fog that separates us from a vibrant and mysterious light, the sole reference point in a place without coordinates”.
In this exhibition Manuela shows also a new works conceptually different of her classic path. In fact, she presents some small works in pencil on paper with wooden support entitled “folta quebrada encontrada na rua mira da naia”. A project within the project born from a broken leaf found in rua da Naia in Portugal and drawing by the artist from different points of view.

Barbara Stefani
presents a particular polyptych of paintings, always in small format, with her personal interpretation and a tribute of the suspended atmosphere of Edward Hopper’s “Nighthawks”.
In this work Barbara creates a geometric and rhythmic sequence of the cited work on a support of paper boxes, object trouvè, of primitive usefulness such as glasses holder.
The Hopperian scenography is crossed by the artist and broken down into a single vertical scans with an unusual chromatic colors. This sequence of shots creates, in the overall view, an original and dreamlike recomposition of the subject. Barbara believes that every single “frame” can be considered a path between present and future as if each step was in pause, lingering intimately, as the previous step anticipated the next one suggesting an emotional continuum.
Also in this series, entitled “Memory traces are alive”, she talks about time and space management. The artworks allow to emerge from fragmentation, generating meaning and recovering complexity.

Elisa Vladilo
Elisa’s artworks are an explosion of small brightly colored works that underline her artistic path using pastel and watercolor on paper and wooden support. A sequence of geometric shapes such as lines and points that blend with softer but always abstract shapes to tell us suspended landscapes thanks to the use of sunny colors. These works tell us -in a joyful and lively way – the perception of suspended time where the past gives the way to the present which prepares to face up the future.
Elisa also refers to the pandemic’s period: her feeling is that “time” has stopped to make space for “this time” in a more dilated way than the previous one. The dilated expansion is represented by the artist trough a slow gesture into the space of paper: a trace and an abstract sign of her own thoughts. A time that before could be only imagined as a continuous horizontal line and now it opens new spaces towards infinity thanks a series of vertical signs. Elisa proposes her personal feeling of an indefinite time, a distance from reality that remains suspended and indistinct in the time.

The exhibition will remain open till July 30, 2022.

Prosegue la mostra “IN SOSPESO” di Manuela Sedmach, Barbara Stefani ed Elisa Vladilo presso la galleria EContemporary .

[1318,7
371,2284,11650,20775,20774,799,13895,49
post-42873","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-arte-e-spettacolo","category-trieste","tag-arte","tag-barbara-stefani","tag-elisa-vladilo","tag-galleria-econtemporary","tag-in-sospeso","tag-laura-poretti-rizman","tag-manuela-sedmach","tag-trieste-2
["GET
